Six teams have been selected as finalists for the inaugural Mosquers X Rifelion Script and Pitch Competition. The six teams will pitch their short film ideas in front of a live audience at the Mosquers Film Festival in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on October 15.

The six finalists were selected from over 20 ideas submitted during an open call in September. Finalists were selected for their originality, core message, producibility and team experience.

The six finalists include:

Finalists will submit an 8 to 12 page script and pitch their concept in front of a live audience at the Mosquers Film Festival this weekend. The top team will win $1,000 USD and a chance to have their film produced by Rifelion Media. The second place team will win $500 USD. The audience will also vote on a winner, who will receive $100 USD.

Judges for the final round include Rifelion CEO Asad Butt and filmmakers Iman Zawahry and Ayanna Shariff. Judges will base prizes on originality, pitch, core message, producibility, dialogue, character development and team.
