Actor, model, and dancer Ramzan Miah plays a Bangladeshi Ken in the film “Barbie,” that premiered Friday, July 21. Miah has previously worked in “Aladdin” (2019), “Enola Holmes 2” (2022), and “Eternals” (2021). His first role in a TV series was in “SAS Rogue Heroes” (2022-) in its first episode. Miah also worked on the horror anthology film “Ghost Stories” (2017), starring Martin Freeman.

Miah spoke about his role as a South Asian Ken in “Barbie” with The Daily Star, saying, “It's refreshing, to be honest. Everyone wants to feel represented — South Asian are significantly under-represented; however, I am even more grateful and proud to be Bangladeshi, and that's more powerful to me — as more people can hopefully take this opportunity to feel represented in our community.”

As a model, Miah has also collaborated with Bulgari, Dior, and several other major fashion brands, since starting his modeling career at 16 years old. He was the first British Bangladeshi male model at London Fashion Week in 2018, and was recognized as the Best Male Model of the Year at the British Bangladeshi Fashion & Lifestyle Awards in 2022.
