Despite the game’s mixed reception, praise for Fazal’s performance as Diana Prince has been overwhelmingly positive.
Out Now: “Man Like Mobeen” Returns for Season 4
Guz Khan’s hit comedy series is returning for its fourth season on BBC Three. The BAFTA-nominated “Man Like Mobeen” focuses on the hilarity and complexity of the life of its protagonist Mobeen (Guz Khan), who struggles to escape his past as a drug dealer and provide for his sister Aqsa (Dúaa Karim). The comedy is based in Small Heath in Birmingham and offers a rich exploration of Mobeen’s community.
Season 4 finds Mobeen and his best friend Nate (Tolu Ogunmefun) in their last few weeks in jail, as they hope to keep their heads down and finish their sentence without any more problems. The last season saw the series take a darker turn as Mobeen made an unwilling return to his past life in an attempt to protect his friends and his sister. Season 4 begins with a time jump, with Aqsa now in medical school awaiting Nate and Mobeen’s release.
The season synopsis reads, “As they adjust to a new life inside, with familiar faces returning in very unexpected situations, Mobeen and Nate need to negotiate a new set of challenges – but can our haphazard heroes make it to the end of their sentence without causing more mayhem and come good on their dream of living a quiet life? Will Aks finally accomplish her goal of training to be a doctor and will evil Uncle Khan keep a relatively low profile in Pakistan or manage to torment Mobeen from afar?”
Season 4 of “Man Like Mobeen” premiered on June 8 in the U.K. Seasons 1-3 are currently streaming on Netflix in the U.S.
