Coming Soon for Horror Fans: “Appendage”

In “Appendage,” a young woman’s insecurities about her career and relationships begin to manifest as a strange growth on her body. And she’s not alone. This horror flick/dramedy, originally released as a 6-minute short for the Bite Size Halloween compilation in 2021, is now a feature-length movie. It will be premiering at the SXSW film festival, then coming to Hulu in fall 2023.

The movie stars actress, writer and comedienne Kausar Mohammed, known best for her work in “4400,” “Coffee Shop Names” and “The Syed Family Xmas Eve Game Night.” Kausar is also an activist and cofounder of the racial and gender justice consulting group SHIFT.
