Out Now: "Safar" Highlights Muslim Women’s Journeys

“Safar: Muslim Women’s Stories of Travel and Transformation,” written by Sarah Malik and illustrated by Amani Haydar, is out now. This illustrated nonfiction title combines interviews with 11 Muslim women with Malik’s reflections about opportunities for self-development through travel. The word “safar” translates to “journey” in both Arabic and Urdu, revealing the book’s focus on movement and growth.
